Veterinary services for every stage of your pet's life

How we keep Pine River Valley pets healthy

From wellness exams to surgery, dentistry, and emergency care.

Preventative care

All of our veterinarians believe strongly in preventative care. Annual exams catch small changes before they become bigger problems, and vaccines prevent common, potentially serious infections. We'll talk with you about heartworm prevention and build a plan around your pet's own lifestyle and risks.

Internal medicine

Our doctors enjoy the detective work of internal medicine, whether that's managing a chronic condition like diabetes or kidney disease. We take a team approach — explaining what's going on with your pet and working with you to help them feel better.

Surgery & anesthesia

Whether it's a planned surgery or an emergency, our veterinarians and staff are equipped to handle it. We use anesthetic monitors to track oxygenation, heart rate, blood pressure, and ECG throughout. Services include spays, neuters, tumor removals, abdominal surgery, fracture repair, and some knee surgeries.

Dentistry

We perform dental exams, cleanings, extractions, x-rays, and oral mass removals. Your pet is monitored under anesthesia for comfort and safety, and we practice pain management and aftercare so they're comfortable at home.

Advanced diagnostics

Our clinic is equipped with urinalysis, blood pressure measurement, CBC, blood chemistry, ocular pressure testing, ultrasound, x-ray, and ECG. For more advanced tests like histopathology, disease titers, and hormone testing, we work closely with outside laboratories.

Pain management

From short-term pain after surgery to chronic pain from arthritis, pancreatitis, or kidney disease, we have several ways to keep your pet comfortable — oral medications, surgical pain blocks, natural supplements, acupuncture, and rehabilitation exercises.

Emergency & critical care

We offer an after-hours service to our clients, and a veterinarian is only a phone call away. We also work closely with an area emergency clinic. Our team handles critical cases with in-house oxygen, IV fluids, and in-house lab capabilities.

Good to know

Questions we hear most

How often should my pet have a wellness exam?

We recommend an annual exam for every dog and cat, paired with the vaccines and heartworm prevention that fit their lifestyle.

Can you manage ongoing conditions like diabetes?

Yes. We work with you as a team to manage endocrine and chronic conditions such as diabetes and kidney disease.

Is my pet monitored during anesthesia?

Yes — our technicians and doctors monitor oxygenation, heart rate, blood pressure, and ECG throughout every procedure.

Will my pet need anesthesia for a dental cleaning?

Yes — it keeps your pet safe and still during the cleaning, and we monitor them closely the whole time.

Do you do x-rays and ultrasound in-house?

Yes — we have in-house x-ray and ultrasound, along with bloodwork and other diagnostics, right here in the clinic.

What are my options for my pet's chronic pain?

We combine oral medication, supplements, and therapies like acupuncture and rehab exercises to find what works best.

What should I do if my pet has an emergency after hours?

Call us — we have a doctor on call for emergencies for our clients after hours.
